Interior Remodeling for Minimalist Kitchens

The minimalist kitchen design begins with a simple palette. Black and white play a major role. Grey provides support and shades of all three can be incorporated.

Surfaces are smooth with sleek lines. Interior remodeling with an eye to minimalism keeps an eye on the little things.

But minimal doesn’t mean boring. You find drama in unexpected places.

The stone top of this kitchen island offers more than just a beautiful place to do food prep. The white is icy cool and keeps the room looking chill, even on the hottest summer day. The gray veining contrasts and adds interest that you can’t duplicate with synthetic products.

All you need are a few simple stools or chairs with straight backs and you’ve also got space for eating breakfast or catching a quick meal.

A minimalist kitchen is all business. And it looks gorgeous when it’s hard at work or simply at rest, awaiting your next move.

Interior Remodeling for Minimalist Bathrooms

Roman showers, soaking tubs, and dual sinks. These are hardworking elements in a minimalist bathroom. Every item has a function and takes on its role in an understated fashion.

For example, this Ladera Ranch bathroom brings together black, white, and grey to create a space made for lingering just a bit longer.

Functionality exudes from every inch of this shower. Notice the integrated niche to keep grooming products at your fingertips. Anyone can appreciate the built-in bench for safely shaving or just enjoying the steam.

Clean lines on the showerhead and handle maintain the minimalist aesthetic while the rain shower delivers water in a minimalist style.

Light clearly abounds in this room. And that’s another hallmark of minimalist design.

Rooms are awash in light from natural sources.

Notice how this minimalist shower maximizes natural light? So many minimalist elements in this shower. It maximizes minimalism!

5 Amazing Bathroom Remodels – 1 Orange County Bathroom Contractor

By / Bathroom Remodel / Comments Off on 5 Amazing Bathroom Remodels – 1 Orange County Bathroom Contractor

Inspired Remodels creates amazing bathrooms to suit any style or taste. It’s easy for an Orange County bathroom contractor to fall into a rut, same design over and over again. Not so with Inspired Remodels. No two homeowners are the same. So, no two bathroom remodels should be the same either. Here’s a peek at the variety of work that’s happening in Orange County bathrooms.

Ladera Ranch Master Bath

A well-functioning bathroom begins with careful consideration of who will use the space and how the room will be used. In this case, the “master” bath serves the master and the lady of the house as well.  Dual sinks, a double vanity, two mirrors, a shower, and a soaking tub meet the needs of both. With Inspired Remodels, you get more than an Orange County bathroom contractor, you get a bathroom designer as well. And because function forms design, the resulting room looks great and works wonderfully as well.

The built-in bench is perfect for personal grooming or just sitting and taking in the steam. The beautiful gray river rock reflects the natural beauty of the Ladera Ranch community. Not only does it bring interest to the shower floor, but it turns the niche from a functional storage spot to a focal point.

The simplistic but elegant look of the shower extends to the dual sinks and vanity. Here you find plenty of space, lighting, and storage to accommodate two people. Whether getting ready to go to the office, attend the next Zoom call, or enjoy a night on the town, two will never be a crowd in this bathroom.

Lighting Up Laguna Niguel

When you don’t have much space, an Orange County bathroom contractor must pull out all the tricks for making a small space look large.

Inspired Remodels knows that light is key to opening up a space. This Laguna Niguel bathroom remodel combines strong natural light and reflective surfaces to trick the eye into seeing space as larger than life.

Orange County bathroom contractor uses reflective tile to make small bathroom look large

By placing the vanity near a window, you maximize the use of natural light. White makes everything look larger. So, white cabinets and a white vanity open the room up. White tiles on the accent wall reflect light back making the appearance of even more space.

Of course, the show stopper is the door. Notice how the shape of the tile is duplicated on the design of the door? When one element of a room flows to the next, it flawlessly brings the eye with it. Everything appears just a bit larger than life.

Mixing, Matching, and Making it Real

Inspired Remodels is the Orange County bathroom contractor that’s not afraid to mix things up when a homeowner wants that special eclectic look.

Who says cabinet hardware and faucets must be matchy matchy? Not this homeowner and Inspired Remodels agrees. The black accents provided by the black cabinet and drawer hardware perfectly complement the tile floor. The sink faucet finish and the door hardware work with the color palette beautifully. This room would be boring with a faucet, door handle, and cabinet hardware that matched. A floor tile this amazing deserves an amazing supporting cast.

And finally, something completely different. The beauty of stacked stone, the elegance of ebony cabinets and mirrors create a bathroom filled with serenity.

Bathroom Remodeler Tips for an Awesome Bathroom

By / Bathroom Remodel / Comments Off on Bathroom Remodeler Tips for an Awesome Bathroom

Spa. Sanctuary. Retreat. Everyone is looking for it, everyone is talking about it. But can you define it? What comes to mind when you think of your own bathroom getaway? The answer is different for different people. A great bathroom remodeler gets that and doesn’t push the same design on every person. So no matter what you want, Inspired Remodels has some tips and ideas to make sure that your new bathroom fits your definition of spa, sanctuary or retreat.

Think Differently About Dual Sinks

Just because you want two sinks, it doesn’t mean you must put them together. Traditionally, dual sinks in a master bath or large secondary bathroom were installed in the same vanity.

You might take a wall and install a 60″ or 72″ vanity and top it with a countertop with two sinks. So, even though you’ve got two sinks, you still have two people side by side. Inspired Remodels thinks about space differently.

In the design above, a beautiful soaking tub divides two separate single vanities. Now this is creative thinking. What the bathroom remodeler did was create a space for two people but each person not only has their own space, they really get the feeling of their own space. Each user has a separate:

  • sink
  • mirror
  • lighting
  • cabinet for storage

Check this out

Even though the space is smaller, the concept is the same. Two people can use the space and still feel like they have their own individual place.

In addition, this set-up takes advantage of the walls to provide each person their own personal towel loop. No sharing sinks, no sharing mirrors, and you don’t even have to share a towel.

This set up would be perfect for teens or children of any age that are sharing a bathroom.

Plenty of room to get ready for school in the morning.

No room for squabbling.

Certainly makes for a smoother morning routine.

bathroom remodeler creates shower out of wood look tile for natural effectWood You Be Mine?

Would you be, could you be, won’t you be my neighbor. Mr. Roger’s song was about being a friend, but this design was all about getting friendly with wood.

Wait, except no one puts wood in a wet shower. But they do when the wood is actually tile.

These days, porcelain and ceramic tiles are fashioned to emulate almost any wood. Some are so realistic they incorporate the feel of wood grain.

This time the bathroom remodeler finished the freestanding soaking tub with faux ceramic wood tile.

The same tile is used on the floor of the bathroom.

Notice the floor of the shower in the picture above? That stone look tile isn’t stone. It’s ceramic and the color was very carefully selected to coordinate with the cabinetry in the room.

The cabinets have very clean lines as do the marble vanity tops. That’s why the extra touch of molding at the baseboards doesn’t look over the top.

Instead it’s just a finishing touch.
