Let’s face it, when it comes to interior remodeling, we are all nosy neighbors. Don’t you want to know what’s going on when you see the vans and trucks pull up to start a bathroom or kitchen remodel?  Satiate your curiosity. Take a peek at these awe-inspiring creations from the Orange County bathroom designers at Inspired Remodels.

Double the Amazing in Ladera Ranch

This recent Ladera Ranch bathroom remodel created enough luxurious space for two.

Orange County bathroom designers install lighted medicine cabinets with mirrors centered over two sinks

How gorgeous are the dual sinks and lighted medicine cabinets? Medicine cabinets have come a long way from the boring mirrored boxes hung on the wall. Sofia Medicine Cabinets hits it out of the park in this bathroom.

The lighting provides the perfect level of illumination for when you need to see clearly. Whether it’s flossing or removing a splinter, you’ll be humming to the tune of “I Can See Clearly Now”.

And because storage is always an issue in bathrooms, medicine cabinets provide an unbeaten way to maximize space and keep smaller toiletries right at hand.

Frankly, would you have known these lighted mirrors concealed storage?

And when it comes to cleaning up, this bathroom doubles the functionality. From the spectacular soaking tub to the sensational rimless shower stall, options abound for scrubbing or soaking the day away.

Bathroom Designers Create Art With Tile

You can slap subway tile on the walls and call it a day. You’ll have a clean, modern look. But why stop there?

Some bathroom designers see bathroom tile as a medium for creating art in the bathroom. By using different installation patterns or unique tile shapes and colors, they transform walls, backsplashes, showers, and tub surrounds into works of art.

Orange County bathroom designers use white picket tile and round, black mirrors in bathroom

This picket-shaped tile creates a stunning accent wall and the perfect contrast for the dual round, black mirrors.  Grout slightly darker than the tile brings the unique picket shape to prominence.

A soaking tub niche gets elevated with rare, linen-look tile. These unique tile planks create the feeling of soaking in a tub, hidden by a screen of fine linen or grasses.

It’s all part of a knockout bathroom design. The same tile creates an accent wall in the brilliantly crafted shower.

Linen tile isn’t the only design that imitates nature. For this Aliso Viejo remodel, the bathroom designers incorporated a leaf-shaped tile to create a work of art.

Old is New

Roman showers are making a comeback in Orange County bathrooms. They make neat freaks happy and send designers to cloud nine.

Roman showers require no door or curtain. Their architecture keeps water contained by design.

Orange County bathroom designers use tile and glass to build a Roman shower in Aliso Viejo bathroomThis Aliso Viejo bathroom remodel incorporates coordinating tile and glass to create a partial wall. The wall extends far enough out to contain spray from the showerhead but does not obstruct the view or airflow.

That airflow excites the neat freaks.  Increasing airflow decreases drying time in the shower. Not for the person taking a shower, but for the shower construction materials. The faster the tile, stone, and grout dry the shorter time available for moisture to support mold growth. Roman showers are incredibly easy to keep clean.

Designers love Roman showers because they make small spaces look large and increase the amount of light in a room. With no visual barriers, they create a timeless and elegant look.

By placing this Roman shower by a window, the design maximizes the natural light. No curtain blocks the light and the window height ensures privacy. Marble and glass come together for a look you expect to find in a five-star hotel, but it’s just another wonderful Orange County bathroom by Inspired Remodels.

Let There Be Light

Savvy Orange County bathroom designers know how to work with light. Whether it’s natural light, task lighting, overhead functional lights, or lights that create art.

Inspired Remodels incorporates lighting of every kind to create rooms that are functional and beautiful.

How’s this chandelier? It brings together lighting and art to create a piece that’s at home in a spa or a museum.

Remember to use dimming switches for lighting that sets a mood.

On the other hand, you need bright task lighting by mirrors and sinks. No one wants to shave in the dark and there’s nothing worse than getting in the car only to discover that blusher isn’t blended. Inspired Remodel designs always incorporate lighting by sinks and mirrors to help you see clearly.

This bathroom incorporates overhead lights as well as downlights and uplights so you see from every angle.

Bathroom Remodeler Tips for an Awesome Bathroom

By / Bathroom Remodel / Comments Off on Bathroom Remodeler Tips for an Awesome Bathroom

Spa. Sanctuary. Retreat. Everyone is looking for it, everyone is talking about it. But can you define it? What comes to mind when you think of your own bathroom getaway? The answer is different for different people. A great bathroom remodeler gets that and doesn’t push the same design on every person. So no matter what you want, Inspired Remodels has some tips and ideas to make sure that your new bathroom fits your definition of spa, sanctuary or retreat.

Think Differently About Dual Sinks

Just because you want two sinks, it doesn’t mean you must put them together. Traditionally, dual sinks in a master bath or large secondary bathroom were installed in the same vanity.

You might take a wall and install a 60″ or 72″ vanity and top it with a countertop with two sinks. So, even though you’ve got two sinks, you still have two people side by side. Inspired Remodels thinks about space differently.

In the design above, a beautiful soaking tub divides two separate single vanities. Now this is creative thinking. What the bathroom remodeler did was create a space for two people but each person not only has their own space, they really get the feeling of their own space. Each user has a separate:

  • sink
  • mirror
  • lighting
  • cabinet for storage

Check this out

Even though the space is smaller, the concept is the same. Two people can use the space and still feel like they have their own individual place.

In addition, this set-up takes advantage of the walls to provide each person their own personal towel loop. No sharing sinks, no sharing mirrors, and you don’t even have to share a towel.

This set up would be perfect for teens or children of any age that are sharing a bathroom.

Plenty of room to get ready for school in the morning.

No room for squabbling.

Certainly makes for a smoother morning routine.

bathroom remodeler creates shower out of wood look tile for natural effectWood You Be Mine?

Would you be, could you be, won’t you be my neighbor. Mr. Roger’s song was about being a friend, but this design was all about getting friendly with wood.

Wait, except no one puts wood in a wet shower. But they do when the wood is actually tile.

These days, porcelain and ceramic tiles are fashioned to emulate almost any wood. Some are so realistic they incorporate the feel of wood grain.

This time the bathroom remodeler finished the freestanding soaking tub with faux ceramic wood tile.

The same tile is used on the floor of the bathroom.

Notice the floor of the shower in the picture above? That stone look tile isn’t stone. It’s ceramic and the color was very carefully selected to coordinate with the cabinetry in the room.

The cabinets have very clean lines as do the marble vanity tops. That’s why the extra touch of molding at the baseboards doesn’t look over the top.

Instead it’s just a finishing touch.
